EQU Consulting acknowledges that our team lives and works on the traditional territories of many nations, including the Michi Saagiig Nishnabeg peoples, and that the area is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples, including Curve Lake First Nation, Alderville First Nation, Hiawatha First Nation, and the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation. We also acknowledge that this area is covered by Treaty 20 (1818) and the Williams Treaties (1923). Recognition of Indigenous lands, treaties and peoples is a crucial step in reconciliation, as it honours the presence of Indigenous peoples on this land for over 10,000 years.
